Nineta (or Così fan tutte)

(2025)

Nineta (or Così fan tutte) 2025.
Textile sculpture and installation in upcycling twill and taffeta, pork meat, leather and latex. Variable dimensions.

Nineta or Così fan tutte is a textile sculpture conceived as a body in resistance: a hybrid figure, halfway between the tenderness of the cuddly toy and the grotesque distortion of imposed desire.
Made from recycled fabrics, leather and upcycling material, this piece emerges from the ruin of the discarded to embody a visceral critique of the fetishisation of the female body in hegemonic, heteropatriarchal visual culture.
Far from reproducing the domesticated imaginary of the ‘sexy bunny’, Nineta subverts its symbolism through deformation and reappropriation. Her materiality, marked by visible stitching, scarring and aesthetic decomposition, alludes to a body that has ceased to aspire to thenorm. Instead of seducing, it questions; instead of pleasing, it discomforts.
Through an installation, this sculpture is inscribed in a space of confrontation: an invitation to look from the uncomfortable, to dismantle the narratives that dictate and oppress our bodies and identities.
